Husam “Alex” Salih, PMHNP

I am a bilingual (English/Arabic) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong commitment to serving individuals across diverse backgrounds, particularly those navigating complex mental health and substance use challenges. With extensive clinical experience in correctional facilities, inpatient psychiatric units, and community health settings, I offer culturally competent care that prioritizes compassion, respect, and evidence-based practice.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders. My work has also brought me alongside veterans—both stateside and overseas—as well as individuals affected by domestic violence, homelessness, and involvement with the correctional system.

My clinical training includes rotations in hospitals, hospice, outpatient clinics, addiction treatment centers, and outreach services for the unhoused. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to holistic, patient-centered care that integrates both mental and physical well-being across the lifespan.

I hold a Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University and a Master of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice from Colorado Mesa University. I am licensed as both a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado.

I am passionate about improving access to quality mental health care and advocating for underserved populations.
